Matching Flea Market Finds with Recipes?

Updated Aug 11, 2009

Judy Witts has a new Tuscan endeavor that sounds interesting. In A Kitchen in Chianti she’s going to attempt to match food related antiques from Tuscan flea markets with recipes related to them. The first is a jar used to hold maraschino, a cherry liquor Italians like to drizzle over Pineapple slices—a custom I remember but haven’t seen recently on menus. In any case, the recipe is for preserving grapes, a technique I use with the cherries we get in spring.

Sounds like a site to watch.
